I’d love to tell you a bit about myself and how this website came to be. My journey into the world of daycare started back in 2011, when my daughter had just turned one. Like so many parents, I had a big decision to make—go back to work or stay home with her. Staying home felt right, and starting a home daycare turned out to be one of the most exciting and fulfilling decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve always loved working with kids—my time at the Boys and Girls Club had shown me how much joy they bring—so combining my passion with my new role as a mom was a perfect fit.One of my greatest joys during those years was designing monthly themes for the kids. I loved going all out to make each theme come to life, transforming our playroom into a pumpkin patch, an ice cream shop, a dinosaur forest, a beach, or even outer space. Crafts, science experiments, sensory bins, and imaginative activities revolved around the theme of the month. Even our menu reflected the magic of what we were exploring together. Watching the kids dive into pretend play and seeing their faces light up with curiosity and joy brought me an immense sense of purpose and fulfillment.

Running a home daycare was an adventure I absolutely LOVED. I poured my heart into creating monthly themes filled with activities, crafts, science experiments, and even weekly menus to match. I was so inspired by the creation side of childcare and fell completely in love with building my business. It brought me so much joy to see the kids’ imaginations come alive as they explored the enviroment I had created for them to learn and grow in. It makes me smile even now to think about those magical moments we made together.

Over time, I began to understand the unique challenges daycare providers face, especially when starting their businesses and trying to stay organized. There’s so much to figure out—contracts, enrollment forms, handbooks, daily schedules. Even understanding what "circle time" is and how to run it can feel intimidating when you’re new to childcare. And then there are the unpredictable moments, like handling a two-year-old who just won’t stop biting their classmates, or an awkward conversation at drop off telling a parent why their child can’t stay today because they’re sick. It can feel overwhelming when you’ve never been in these situations before.

When COVID hit, like so many others, I was forced to close my daycare. Suddenly, I had a lot of time on my hands and needed to keep busy. One of my projects during that period was rewriting my own contracts and enrollment forms. When I shared them with some of my fellow provider friends, they were impressed and asked if they could pay me to use them. That sparked an idea: why not sell my creations online?

To my surprise, I sold two copies in the first week. I was thrilled and beyond grateful. Over the next few months, sales picked up, and within just four months, I had sold over 200 copies. The joy I’d always found in creating themed activities and tools for my daycare carried over into designing resources for other providers. It was a way to channel my creativity while also helping others navigate the challenges of running a daycare.

As of January 1st, 2025, over 8,000 providers use my products daily to organize their businesses and spark creativity in the children they care for. Seeing the impact of what I’ve created has been incredibly inspiring and humbling. When I started, I had no idea my work would resonate with so many people, and I feel so grateful to play even a small role in their childcare journeys.

After COVID, I reopened my daycare for a few years, but eventually, my husband and I were given the opportunity of a lifetime to sell our house and move onto my family farm. It was a bittersweet decision to step away from my incredible daycare families, who had become like an extension of my own. But with the introduction of $10/day childcare by the Canadian government, I knew it was the right time to pivot my career.
My online business had grown significantly, and I decided to dedicate myself fully to helping other home daycare providers with the knowledge, tools and resources I’d developed over my years working in childcare.

A Bit About Me
When I’m not creating resources for daycare providers, you’ll usually find me enjoying life on our farm. My family and I share our space with geese, ducks, chickens, goats, horses, cows, donkeys and even two pet pigs—Flower and Alice—who are surprisingly talented at doing tricks like sitting and twirling for a peanutbutter cookie. My goose Azalea has a special place in my heart and loves following me around as I do chores.

I also have a passion for gardening and collecting plants. In the spring and summer, I’m busy with perennials, and when winter rolls around, my love for greenery doesn’t stop—I turn my attention to indoor plants. I’ve always loved creating, whether it’s projects on the farm with my husband, learning to crochet, evening building a website or printables for daycare providers and teachers. My mind is always coming up with new an exciting ideas to spark that joy of creation within.

Life is full of adventure, whether it’s traveling with my family, thrifting with my daughter, or cheering on my son at 4-H shows. These moments fill my heart and inspire me every day to keep creating tools that make life a little easier for others.
Thank you for stopping by and learning a little more about me. I hope the resources here help you as much as creating them has helped me.
